DESCRIPTION: The wood is a uniform yellowish white, with the exception of the region around knots & other defects, which may be a distinct red. Heartwood & sapwood are reported to be indistinguishable. Grain is straight to irregular & shallowly interlocked. The wood is fine to medium textured. Wood surfaces are reported to be typically low in luster.
